We've sailed on Ocean Village a few times, and generally flown from Birmingham even though Manchester is nearer to us.

Last year we saved £100 per person with Birmingham flights... so that's £200 for an extra hour on the motorway... well worth it.

I find Birmingham a nicer airport to travel through... friendlier security staff, more space in the check-in area and quicker luggage reclaim at the end of the holiday. I park with APH... their car park is just off the M6 Toll, and they bus you the last few miles to the airport.

If I could, I'd only fly from Liverpool John Lennon... it's the easiest airport I have found to travel through... friendly, helpful, short queues.

Getting bact to cruising though, OV is a great ship, very spacious, with massive cabins, even at the lowest grades.

Can't wait till tuesday... off on OV2 for a week!
