Hi PamPam.
Not long till your cruise.
Have yet to try Ocean village, do I take it you like the Karaoke? Watching or participating.?
With regards upgrade I've never looked into being upgraded, though have arrived three times to a ship and had an upgrade when I arrived, once to a hgher inside, once from inside to outside and once from an inside to a balcony.
Sure I have read somewhere that some people ask when they board re upgrades, though not always available and the prices can be variable.

Hi Middy
My partner loves karaoke, must admit he is quite good!
I'll let you know what OV2 is like we have only been on OV1 previously.
Kind regards
Pam
Just returned from an Ocean Village cruise. did the Villas and vinos around the med. Yes, they do have a Karaoke evening, some terrible singers but some decent ones. First cruise for me and the wife, it was our pearl wedding anniversary which was delivered by our agent from Co op travel when booked. We received a letter from them a week later stating we had been upgraded, we were already on the 9th deck but they seem to think being transfered to the 10th was an upgrade? anyhow, the cabin was just fine, just another deck to climb each evening when retiring. For seven hundred quid each I thought it was well worth it, food was tremendous and none of the dickie bow and suit rubbish, wear what you like when you like is the motto. some friends just returned from a P&O cruise, four formal evenings dressed like toffs, having to share a table with the same folks every night, having to eat at the same time each evening, cant be doing with that, Ocean village does exactly what it says on the tin. Heres to the next Ocean village cruise.
Sounds like you really enjoy the more relaxed way of cruising It does make a change to be on a more relaxed ship sometimes, although getting dressed up can be fun and gives me a chance to be different from my usual jeans and t-shirt

Hi Dennis and Brenda
Glad you enjoyed your cruise.
We have done 5 cruises on the original Ocean Village but this is our fist time on OV2.
On OV1 they had a karaoke comp. in which the winner got to sing on stage in the marque. Simon came 2nd. I just wondered if there was the same comp on OV2.
We will be in touch when we return.
Kind regards
Pam & Simon
