Norwegian Star will be in Vancouver for 20 days and has a number of offers available. Whilst in Vancouver I was told that all hotel accommodation in the City had now been sold out. So Norwegian Star could be a very good option, if the price is right.

Seems that the charter will no longer take place CBC News - British Columbia - Olympic floating-hotel scheme sinks
Goodness there will be some people flying around trying to make alternative arrangements.

Default Group Booking Disappointment !

As the charter of Norwegian Star is now cancelled she will instead visit the dry-docks at Victoria.

One group very disappointed at the cancellation is a group from the ' Make a Wish Foundation ' which arranges holidays for families with children who have life threatening medical conditions.

They now need to find accommodation at a hotel in the Vancouver area for 11 families.

Some cabins on the Norwegian Star had been given to them and others booked for their group.

Seems a dry docking is on the cards according to this report.

When I was on Spirit of London / Sun Princess we always dry-docked at Victoria every year after the season of Alaska cruises.

Facilities were very good and work was always finished on time.
