Norwegian Gem - Shakedown Cruise 6th October 2007
OK...madness has struck once again
 My mate Phil has secured a few cabins on the Norwegian Gem for her shakedown/pre-delivery cruise next October. I'm going...are you?? We will be sailing from Dover to Amsterdam and back to Dover, 2 nights of silliness and frivolities

 We are going to have a bowling ball of a time on her...having done a shakedown last year on NCL Jewel, its a brilliant experience knowing that you are the first one to sleep in that bed, and try everything out onboard

My parents have agreed to join us on this cruise. My father is so excited.
I spoke to Phil today he said that he now had 25 staterooms booked. Not bad in such a short time. I wonder if anyone else will sign up.

It appears that we will be part of a group of around 50 with Phil
This will be alot of fun, many of those going this time were part of the group of 14 of us who had a brilliant shakedown cruise on NCL Jewel in 2005. As we get closer to the departure date we will no doubt have a more accurate number....NCL Gem will not know what hits it

I'll be travelling with Phil & crew by coach from the Midlands - so by the time we get on board we should be well away!!!
This is my first interior cabin but I doubt I'll get much time there with so many interesting people in the party!! I'm hoping for the odd minor problem aboard after hearing about the tender in Jersey (?) from Ally's other trip. I want some stories to tell (again & again & again ...) Richard |
