New for winter 2006, Norwegian Pearl will feature all the attributes of NCL’s dynamic modern Freestyle Cruising fleet. She features multiple restaurants, vibrant public rooms, versatile, family-friendly accommodations; and NCL’s popular new style of accommodations, Courtyard Villas, which along with each ship’s two Garden Villas, make up the biggest, most luxurious, most innovative suite complexes at sea.
This beauty will bowl over the cruise competition with a “striking” innovation – a full size, four lane, ten-pin bowling alley. The bowling alley is part of an all-new, all-day entertainment, sports bar and nightclub complex called Bliss.

Her full 'list' of amenities and public spaces is as follows...
Norwegian Pearl features the industry's first bowling alley. The four lane, ten-pin bowling alley is part of an all new, all-day entertainment, sports bar and nightclub complex called Bliss Ultra Lounge and Night Club. During the day, Bliss is a sports bar with a bowling alley, multiple flat screen televisions to show sports events, and air hockey, foosball and other arcade games. In the evening, in a complete change of mood, Bliss transforms into a hip, high-energy ultra-lounge, with the plasma screens adding video tracks to the non-stop music spun by Norwegian Pearl's own vibe master. A spacious dance floor, a full-bar and mood-lit bowling all add to the atmosphere of a totally unique seagoing experience.
Norwegian Pearl also features another first for the NCL fleet, a rock climbing wall. Constructed at the back of the ship's funnel on deck 14, the wall stands at an impressive 30 feet in height and 19 feet in width and has been designed with five different climbing routes, each with varying degrees of difficulty. The wall's reddish-brown sandstone color is reminiscent of the Ayer's Rock in Australia.
Like her sisters, Norwegian Pearl features 10 restaurants including guest favorites such as Cagney's Steak House, Blue Lagoon and NCL's signature restaurant, Le Bistro. In addition, Norwegian Pearl also features:
Summer Palace - Located on deck 6; inspired by the grandeur of the palaces of St. Petersburg and the era of Russian Tsars. White and gold ceilings, green marbled pillars and 24 carat gold-coated chandeliers adorn this very detailed dining room; accommodates 558; Indigo - Located on deck 6; a contemporary restaurant inspired by a modern boutique hotel clean lines and color combinations of blues and shots of orange as an accent. Features pop art backlit in glass; accommodates 304;
Lotus Garden - Located on deck 7; a modern Asian restaurant touting the graphically illustrated traditional female costume and dance of the Far East. Tibetan flags fuller along the railing next to the traditionally carved entrance; accommodates 108. The restaurant features popular Asian dishes, a sushi bar and a Teppanyaki area seating 32;
Mambo's Latin/Tapas Restaurant - Located on deck 8; contemporary and bright, featuring hot and spicy Latin and tapas selections; accommodates 96;
La Cucina Italian Restaurant - Located on deck 12; casual Italian eatery reflecting a village trattoria or traditional farmhouse kitchen; accommodates 96;
The Garden Cafe - Located on deck 12; indoor buffet featuring prepared-to-cook omelets, waffles fruit, soups, ethnic specialties and pasta; accommodates 390. Includes a special "kids only" area with smaller tables and chairs; accommodates 52;
The Great Outdoors - Located on deck 12; an outdoor eatery with alfresco dinning; accommodates 259.
In addition to her dining offerings, Norwegian Pearl features NCL's innovative Freestyle Dining information system. This allows guests to view all restaurants on board and make reservations for the entire cruise or just a specific night and restaurant. Plasma screens placed in high-traffic areas around the ship and outside each restaurant illustrate the status of each restaurant. Indicator bars reflect when each restaurant is "full," "moderately busy" or "empty."
If a restaurant is full at a specific time, the screens also indicate to guests an estimated wait time in that restaurant and what table sizes are available. If a restaurant is full and guests would like to wait for an opening, they are quoted a wait time and issued a pager that works all over the ship. This gives guests an opportunity to sit down in one of the 13 bars and lounges on board, enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail, and listen to one of the ship's many entertainers until their table is ready. Guests can relax at one of Norwegian Pearl's bars and lounges, including the Bar Central area, NCL's popular new entertainment concept first introduced on Norwegian Jewel. Bar Central features a martini bar, a champagne and wine bar, a beer and whiskey bar and a cigar bar all connected but touting distinct personalities:
Shakers Martini and Cocktail Bar, art deco inspired with a large screen behind the bar depicting James Bond inspired graphic silhouettes of funky images from 60's and 70's; accommodates 48;
Magnum's Champagne and Wine Bar, French art deco inspired with elements reflecting grand old cruise liner The Normandy. It features art work that reflects Paris in the 1920's. The back bar has a bubbling, backlit water feature to look like champagne; accommodates 83; Maltings Beer and Whiskey Bar, contemporary bar-lounge with low seating and tables along with mood lighting that complements the backlit artwork, themed around famous whiskeys of the world.; accommodates 40;
Corona Cigar Club, an art deco cigar club with hand-rolled, premium cigars, cognacs and spirits; accommodates 11.
Norwegian Pearl offers an extensive choice of cabins including some of the most luxurious accommodations afloat. Guests have the opportunity to cruise in style in one of the impressive Garden Villas, each spanning approximately 4,400 square feet. These extravagant Garden Villas offer a spacious living room, dining room and three separate bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Garden Villa guests also enjoy their own private sun beds, hot tub and steam room in their private garden, plus butler and concierge service.
A new category of stateroom accommodations to NCL with the introduction of Norwegian Jewel and also featured on Pride of Hawaii and Norwegian Pearl is the Courtyard Villa suite complex. Each villa shares a private courtyard, complete with swim-against-the-current lap pool, hot tub, male and female steam rooms and a small fitness area.
These 10 villas also share a private sundeck with sun beds and hammocks. Positioned high atop the vessel, the villas tout sweeping views of the ocean and an impressive assortment of amenities typically found at five-star land-based resorts. Together with the Garden Villas, the Courtyard Villas comprise the most luxurious suite complex at sea.
High above everything else are two Deluxe Owner's Suites - the Black Pearl and the Golden Pearl - each measuring over 535 sq. ft. with commanding views of the ship and the surrounding ocean and scenery. These suites offer a master bedroom, en-suite bathroom, and dining/living area, together with an ample balcony accessible through the master bedroom.
Also on board are NCL's latest amenities in standard staterooms including rich cherry wood finishing, hair dryers, safes, mini-bars, tea and coffee makers in every room, a larger bathroom unit than many other ships, containing separate WC, shower and washstand compartments separated by sliding doors in the outside, balcony and suite staterooms.
