Norwegian Jewel to be first cruise ship to call at St Petersburg's new terminal

SSG-TALLINN. The first vessel to call the new Sea Facade terminal in St. Petersburg will, according to SeaNews - âcå î ëîãèñòèêå â Ðîññèè è ñòðàíàõ áëèæíåãî çàðóáåæüÿ, be the Norwegian Jewel on 10 September. The new berth can accommodate vessels up to 311 metres in length and with a draft of 9 metres. Sea Facade is situated on the west side of Vasily Island on a landfilled area and in the first stage, three new berths will be built. In all, seven births are planned, but the major part of the area will be used for 1.3 million square metres of office buildings and exclusive apartments, of which the first ones are already for sale.

Before the inauguration, the Norwegian Jewel will make a couple of calls this season in the cargo port as usual.
