Interesting to read a report by someone else of a cruise you have done yourself. I’m glad cruisecouple enjoyed their cruise.
Unfortunately their visit to Gib was on a day of a national holiday “Commonwealth Day” Many of the dingy flats they saw are built for military personal. Many had been built since we were there last year. The Rock is always a great place to visit, again on that particular day; I was told people had to come down early, because of high winds affecting the cable car. A new harbour has been built with many luxury apartments, all out of my price range but it is a lovely area to visit, and sit outside on a nice day enjoying a drink at the harbour pub. One highlight we always enjoy is the sight of an English policeman walking the beat something that has disappeared in the UK. I agree about Portugal being one of the cheapest countries we visited, but prices are rising quickly all over Europe. Again I am glad cruisecouple enjoyed their cruise and vacation. Norman |
