# Number of ill passengers out of total number of passengers: 91 of 1599 (5.69%)
# Number of ill crew out of total number of crew: 10 of 726 (1.38%)
# Predominant symptoms: diarrhea
# Actions: In response to the outbreak, Norwegian Cruise Line and the crew aboard the ship took the following actions:

* increased cleaning and disinfection procedures,
* collected stool specimens for analysis, and
* is sending daily updates to CDC until the number of ill people returns to expected levels.

# After the current voyage, the ship will be taken out of service for it's annual week of cleaning and repairs. VSP staff will continue to monitor the ship until the number of people who have reported that they are ill returns to expected levels.

Illness has been confirmed as Norovirus and Enterotoxigenic E. coli (ETEC) on the above cruise. Following close monitoring after the outbreak, levels of illness reduced as normal.
