NCL Dawn - passenger medevac
Quote:
A Westhampton woman was evacuated from a Bermuda-bound cruise ship 50 miles south of New York City after complaining of chest pains early Sunday, Coast Guard officials said.
Rose Bonner, 75, was taken off the cruise ship Norwegian Dawn at about 12:15 a.m. after complaining of chest pains, officials said. She was brought by an emergency Coast Guard boat to Station Sandy Hook, in New Jersey, at about 1:23 a.m., officials said. Bonner was in stable condition when she arrived.
"The Coast Guard takes all reports of medical emergencies seriously," said Chief Jim Moore, the Sector New York command duty officer who responded to the call. "We try our best to respond quickly and make sure that necessary medical attention is acquired for those who find themselves in these situations."
