The supplier of Norwegian Pearl’s four bowling lanes is Brunswick Corp. of Lake Forest, Ill. For the ship’s Bliss Ultra Lounge, the company provided Brunswick Anvilane synthetic lanes, Vector scoring systems, GS-XTM pinsetters and Pinball Wizard bumper bowling, a system of gutter guard rails designed to keep the ball in the lane.

Additionally, Brunswick recently provided ‘Virtual Bowling’ to the European ferry operator Stena Line for its 2,000-passenger Saga, which sails the Oslo- Frederikshavn route.

Virtual Bowling takes less space than traditional bowling. It works by using shortened lanes and virtual bumpers with no mechanical pinsetters, explains Gary Smith, director of amusement sales for Brunswick Bowling.

Stena Saga’s arcade area was equipped with three lanes and video gear.
