Two more MSC ships float out at Aker France

Following the recent float out of MSC Fantasia at Aker Yards France in St. Nazaire, the float outs for MSC Splendida and MSC Magnifica have also taken place.

The 133,500gt MSC Splendida will be the twin to MSC Fantasia. Delivery is scheduled for June 2009.

MSC Magnifica is the fourth ship in the Musica class, and is scheduled to enter service in 2010, becoming the 12th cruise vessel in MSC’s fleet.

Two other MSC newbuilds are nearing completion in St. Nazaire, with MSC Poesia scheduled for delivery on April 5 and MSC Fantastia to follow, with its naming set for Dec. 18 in Naples.
