Last Sunday night, people enjoying the evening in George Town were surprised to see a cruise ship arriving just off the port at around 9:30 pm.

The vessel, MSC Lirica, had been due to arrive the next morning but the Captain re-scheduled the voyage to enable a young passenger to be put ashore for medical treatment.

The youngster is understood to have been admitted to the paediatric unit of George Town Hospital for treatment but was not in any danger.
