Default Inagural Cruise- Island Star

Jeff,
I have just met a couple who were going to pick up their tickets for the Island Star's inagural Cruise ( ex Horizon) which starts fron Majorca on Saturday Week. I just hope the weather will be warm enough in the Med in late March /early April.
I notice that the cam is set up already on the Kroooz cams site.

Jeff,
Island Star was due out of Majorca today.
Just thought I would mention that they had started their Med cruise season, as I NOTICE YOU HAVE THE WEB CAM set up.

Noticed that the temp in Majorca yesterday was 75 degrees.
Hope this continues for their 2 week cruise, but true to form Majorca web cam was not working today.

Jackie I've emailed Island Cruises asking about the Island Star's webcam. To date they have not responded. Would it be possible for you to ask your friends to inquire about it when onboard. Probably best to ask someone in the internet cafe if they have one.

Thanks,
jeff

Unfortunatly they have already left& I have no way of contacting them- I doubt they know how to turn on a computer, let alone use one.
Sorry.

Default Island Star in Venice

Whilst in Venice last weekend I saw the Island Star arriving in the port there. On this photo we took you can still make out the Celebrity 'X' on the funnel as it's been painted over with white paint in lines to blend in with the background.

No we weren't on the cruise but were staying in Venice for the weekend. It was just by chance that we saw the ship sail in whilst we were on a water bus trip. We stayed in a hotel on the Grand Canal which was beautiful.

The photo was taken on Sunday morning and as you can see it was very foggy, but by lunch time the sun broke out and we sat outside eating pizza in one of the many squares. (hard to beleive I know!)

As for the paint job Liz....it certainly is a little rough round the edges, I don't think you can make it out on the photo, but underneath the web address for island cruises you could still see the old 'celebrity cruises' livery.

Me thinks they needed a second coat of paint on there!

Methinks you are RIGHT about the second coat of paint.

PIZZA in a SQUARE IN VENICE, oh YES, YES, YES,

Wasn't THIS one, by any chance????. HUGE Kroooz-cam party of the Century (one of them, anyway) in Venice, last May.
