Welcome to our cruise mad family

Our member Woodmill has done a couple of cruises with Island and they have a few tips here that you might find handy...

As you will read, the opinions are mixed...but as a first time cruise, they are good value for money...albeit with more than a little club 18-30ish in some ways.

Basically you will get what you pay for. There are other lines that aren't strictly formal, such as Ocean Village, who offer relaxed atmosphere on their ships...also NCL which is a large US company that has a very laid back way to cruise with a choice of 10 restaurants, relaxed dress codes etc.
