Smile History of Imperial Majesty....

The grand tradition of the classic ocean voyage continues aboard Imperial Majesty Cruise Line's "Regal Empress". Unique for her intimate size and beautiful Old World Craftsmanship, she is one of the few timeless passenger cruise liners based in the United States. The "Regal Empress" takes the voyageur back to the Golden Age of ocean travel; back to an era when lavish accoutrements were standard shipboard requirements. She was originally built on the Island of Greece for North Atlantic sailing between New York, Halifax and South Hampton. But with her inviting swimming pool, spacious outdoor deck areas and refreshing air-conditioning, her destiny would eventually be in the warmth of the Caribbean. In 1997 the "Regal Empress" underwent a refit in Mobile, Alabama, that brought her up to the latest international standards. Other upgrades included a new buffet area, a playroom for children and an Internet Cafe among other changes to meet the needs of today's cruising public. At the same time, careful attention was paid to maintain the vintage features and ambiance of its long history. These included rich wood paneling, the old fashioned enclosed promenade, the elegant main dining room with its view of the ocean, and a significant number of very large staterooms. Today, this venerable ship transports traveler's from Fort Lauderdale, Florida's Port Everglades to tropical Nassau, Bahamas on a wonderful two-night cruise. She offers passengers comfortable and roomy staterooms, some which have private balconies, private jacuzzis and suites with comfortable sitting areas. The abundant meals on board offer a variety of delightful selections to please any appetite. The entertainment matches any productions from Las Vegas to Broadway and with lady luck on your side enter the casino for some fast-paced gaming action. This memorable cruise experiences leaves all our guests with a desire to experience cruising again.
