Hurtigruten promotes Antarctica discounts

Hurtigruten’s North American office is promoting savings of $1,000 to $3,600 per person on five Antarctic expeditions in 2008 and 2009 with itineraries ranging from 13 to 22 days.

North American customers can also take advantage of Hurtigruten’s $849 to $1,049 round-trip airfare from Miami or New York.

The discounts apply to all five of Hurtigruten’s Antarctica programs including the newest adventure, the 17-day ‘North & South Antarctica’ expedition aboard Fram. This is Hurtigruten’s longest visit to the White Continent – nine days – and takes participants to the rarely visited Marguerite Bay, home to a breeding colony of emperor penguins.

With the discount, fares range from $5,799 to $15,599 per person, double occupancy, for Jan. 22 and Feb. 3, departures, a savings of $1,000 to $3,600 per person.

Savings are also available on the new 19-day ‘Antarctica & The Falklands/Malvinas’ itinerary aboard Nordnorge on Nov. 6 and Feb. 12, 13-day ‘Argentina & Antarctica’ programs from November to February aboard Fram, three dates for the 19-day ‘Antarctica, Argentina & The Chilean Fjords’ expedition and the 22-day ‘Falklands/Malvinas, South Georgia & Antarctica’ adventure on Feb. 27.
