Hebridean reveals South Africa and India cruises
Quote:
Hebridean International Cruises has announced new itineraries to South Africa and the Indian Ocean on board its flagship Hebridean Spirit.
The cruising programmes are included in a new brochure that gives a full guide to cruising on board the Spirit, a 49-cabin ship which can house up to 98 guests.
Stops on the itineraries include Madagascar, Table Mountain, the Seychelles and Namibia, with the entire programme geared towards exploring the “natural beauty” of these areas.
The cruising itineraries have also been designed to include on-shore excursions to the savannah, bush and desert, with marine wildlife lecturer Tim Earl accompanying some groups.
Earl is one of many knowledgeable and experienced on-board speakers who cover subjects including the African landscape, conservation and history. Speakers will deliver evening lectures on board the Spirit, in the wood-panelled Argyll Restaurant.
One of the excursions on offer is a 4X4 trip across the dunes of the Namib Desert followed by a star-lit dinner accompanied by live music.
Another offers a trip to the Shakaland Cultural Village in KwaZula-Natal, close to Richard’s Bay along the coast of South Africa. This gives guests the chance to observe traditional fighting techniques, local cooking and dancing styles.
The ‘National Wonders from the Seychelles’ cruise between November 7 and 19 costs from £6,501 per person.
