Has anyone tried this cruise? I have never done a cruise before and an wondering how this cruise line compares with other you've usedand what your experineces have been with them? Do you recomment doing the add on packages?
I have yet to try easyCruise, however, most who have seem to be very positive about them. They are an ideal way to get into cruising...especially as they are alot less expensive than the mainstream companies, and that can be useful if you decide that cruising is not for you afterall...you won't have busted the bank account to try it out.
The add on packages are also a great idea for first timers, they give you the freedom to do as you please. So as an introduction to cruising, they are ideal.
The reports circulating around the net have on the whole been very good, and even seasoned cruisers who have been used to the 'all singing/all dancing' cruise ships have been extremely positive after giving easyCruise a try.
I guess the thing is if they offer an itinerary that you like the look of and it is in your budget, well give them a go. Even if you really hated the experience, you have not spent a huge amount on the holiday. The Caribbean itineraries and the Med have all had good uptake...so much so that easyCruiseOne is on the market and a larger ship is being sought that will have a few more of the bells and whistles that you might expect on a mainstream but without the mainstream price tag attached.
I would give them a go without hesitation had I not got a couple of longhaul cruises booked

Thanks for all this information! Even though I've done a couple cruises I've never heard of this cruise line before. I was just checking out their website and the Classical Greece Autumn cruise looks wonderful. The prices do seem reasonable and it is nice that you have a choice to purchase some of the "extras." May have to add this one on to my wishlist!
