Default Early Boarding on QM2

Does anyone know if early boarding is typically allowed on the QM2 or Cunard in general? We have a 5 pm sailing and the booking confirmation says boarding is 1-3 pm. Do you think we can board in the morning?

Doubtful, tbh. Chances are she will have an invite only luncheon tween the previous disembarkation and your embarkation, this is quite often the case on ex UK departures. You might get away with a midday boarding but don't bank on it.

Seeing as you will be staying in Pompey the night before, I would spend some time in Pompey...Historic Dockyard is just across the road from Keppels Head Hotel, there is also the Spinaker Tower and other places of historical interest, along with shopping & eateries galore to explore and kill time in.
