Cunard incentive for Australasian travel agents

Carnival Australia director of sales, Don Clark, is pushing sales for Queen Mary 2’s 2009 world voyage by offering travel agents in Australia and New Zealand the opportunity to cross the Tasman in Cunard’s 151,400gt flagship.

Clark, a former regional gm for British Airways who took up the newly-created Carnival Australia position in February, has launched a competition for agents taking bookings from now until June 30 for the sectors to Sydney or Auckland.

The three top sellers will each receive a balcony cabin for two on the three-night trans-Tasman crossing from Auckland to Sydney on February 23.

‘We are thrilled to announce such an exciting competition for travel agents,’ Clark said. ‘It’s not every day that you get to experience a voyage on the grandest ocean liner at sea.’

The winners will be announced on July 1.
