Thank you. I have found that. It will take a while going through it.

Hi Kazzie,
Great to hear of another world cruiser. Sounds like you're just as excited as we are. We have been on 4 cruises & are completely hooked. We had planned to take a year out travelling, I figured if students can do it then why can't I Then I saw the world cruise & decided to go in style, and won't need a year just 106 days.
I have spent ages looking at the trips, have decided on some, especially the koala bear sanctuary in Brisbane I think. Some places we will do our own thing. Egypt your really need to do a tour as it's rather dangerous on your own, went last year did pyramids, valley of kings etc, wonderful experience. We were in Bangkok earlier this year so will go on our own there as we know where to go. If you want to fit a lot into a day then an organised trip is your best bet. We may well be on some trips together you will be welcome to join us. Keep in touch & we can meet up for a drink or two if you like Will send you a pm nearer the time.
Love to cruise

Thank you very much for that LtC . I've been looking through the excursions and see so many tempting opportunities. I think we get more details 60 days before sailing.

I've only cruised twice before; the oriana to the canaries and the sea princess to iceland. This will be my first time cruising solo although I've been on special interest holidays on my own such as watercolour painting and more recently a fitness vacation in Spain lasting 8 weeks. I'm quite an independent soul, but it is reassuring for me to be able to board a huge ship feeling I've had some previous contact with other passengers, so I do appreciate your kind offer.

The furthest East I've ever travelled is the Maldives... oh the colour of the indian ocean... superb! A couple of weeks ago I returned from the highly commercial disney in florida... and as always, when I return from a trip I get itchy feet to book my next holiday!

Anyway, thanks again LtC and I look forward to hearing from you at a later date.

Hey Kazzie,
We now have 3 things in common cruising , disney & the Maldives my most favourite place on earth We have been to two islands & get to go again in september to a very small one only 60 beach bungalows, the only reason I will be leaving the island will be to go on the world cruise I love disney, not been for a few years as there are so many other places to visit, just need more time.
It will be good to get more details of the excursions, I,m really hoping that there will be one to the dead sea in egypt as we missed that last time & dont want to do pyramids etc again Have you seen the one in india for 4 days visiting the Taj Mahal? I so want to do that but is really is expensive, have always wanted to go there.
Happy planning, speak again soon,
love to cruise

Hi again... sorry for the late reply. I am still working my way through the excursions and haven't yet got to India! I'll be meeting up with 'old friends' in LA, but that's all I've planned at the moment.

The Maldive island we enjoyed was Karumba (?sp). My son got his diving certificate there. My hubby and I were wimps and opted to snorkel instead, but I'm sure we didn't miss much. Sticking your head under the water out there is just amazing... all those stunning colourful fish. Ahhh... the memory of it makes me want to return.

I am hungry for information about the QV and have stumbled across some pictures on another website (I think these pics have done the rounds). Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules here, but here they are:

Hi there Kazzie,
Great photos of the QV, cant wait to get on board, not long to go now, roll on christmas!
I havnt looked at the excurtions lately, been rather busy running to Bulgaria to furnish our apt its been mad, i do need to have another look and make some plans. I wonder how many others are going on the roundtrip, there must be more out there.
We went to fun island & komandoo, this time we go to makanudoo, i have heard of kurumba, think they are all paradise. I wish i could dive but have a lot of ear trouble so its not possible, but you can still see lots with a snorkel.
Looking forward to ko sumui in thailand, am thinking the beach there must be very similar to maldives, also fiji sounds good, will def be spending time on the beach in these two places.
Bye for now

Hello again to everyone. I've looked through the tours that are shown. Is it possible to book these directly on the net??? If so ..how do you do it?

Hello Hamilton

I would imagine that the shorex would be bookable online, the Cunard website will be able to confirm that though under their FAQ section or on the shorex listing for that cruise

Default Balls Dressing Up

I know its quite late in the day to be asking this. BUT To what extent do people dress up for the different Balls that appear on the itinerary? Black and White Ball....does a black tie and white scarf satisfy? Are there pictures/photos anywhere?
