We have just enjoyed our first cruise. We took my partner's parents on 5 day/4 night Rhine cruise. The boat was clean and wll maintained . The cabins are small but functional (air conditioned, safe, TV). The passengers were mostly elderly (we are in our forties) but the crew were very patient with them. The food was surprisingly good and the crew (in particular Zoltan) went out of their way to ensure our dietary requirements (no dairy) were met. The service crew under the direction of Attila were all Hungarian except for the Italian hostess Federica. I know there are more luxurious boats but I doubt you will find better service anywhere. (I have worked in the service industry for over 20 years so I feel I'm qualified to comment!) We thought the cruise was very good value. The side trips were reasonably priced and well organised. Just one note: it is a FRENCH cruise line and almost all the passengers were French-speaking. There was a New Zealand couple who were extremely pleased to share our table and were grateful for our translations. This may change now that the cruises are being sold in Australia.
