Lightbulb Azamara - Small ships very big on luxury (Article)

Quote:
Drop your napkin at dinner and a waiter will probably catch it before it touches the floor.

Okay, we exaggerate a little, but that's the sort of personal attention you can expect from the deluxe line called Azamara Cruises.

After buying two small ships, Celebrity Cruises lavished $20 million on renovations to launch Azamara Cruises. The two ships, Journey and Quest, provide upscale elegance for passengers who enjoy luxurious surroundings, fine dining and customer service. Every stateroom includes butler service, just in case you need help unpacking, ironing and having your shoes shined.

Each ship carries about 700 guests. With about 350 waiters, bartenders, cabin stewards and crew, a two-to-one ratio, you can expect personal attention. Azamara focuses on fine food and elegant dining with two specialty restaurants on each ship. The Aqualina features Mediterranean-style cuisine, while Prime C specializes in steak and seafood. These restaurants are in addition to the Discoveries dining room, indoor and outdoor cafés, poolside grill and 24-hour room service.........
