Lightbulb Azamara Journey June 25 2008...want to tour Jewish Berlin and St. Pet. reg tour

We have done an enormous amount of research on this for Berlin and St. Petersburg. Even the private tours are very prohibitve. We finally found one yesterday that seems good. OUr alternative for Berlin was to use the ship tour "on your own" and then do hop on hop off bus in Berlin. However we found one that is 179 USD per person covers to and from Warnmunde and Jewish sights.
This agency also has similar tour to St. Peterburg covering major sights and Chorale Synagogue. She is very flexible.
We are two people and want at least four others to join us to keep costs under control.
We are doing a two day tour in St. Petersburg so have sent to Embassy for our own passports (or you cannot get off ship). We just want to wander about on third day or possibly return to Hermitage.also plan to attend Maryinsky one night and folk lore the other.
We have checked out Alla....looks good, but she needs more people with our interests. So far she has not found any. we have also checked out Denrus and all the major private cruises. Denrus will not make a group for you. At least that is what they wrote me.
Finally we found SPB travel agency and have been corresponding with Victoria. She is trying to put us together with others. Check it out. She seems quite reasonable. If anyone has gone with her, let us know your opinion. if you post reply with your email or phone no, I will share information I have.
Also last night we went out with another couple who did this cruise, but not on Journey. They had private guides who knew art and Jewish History and were great and relatively reasonable. They will get their names for me today.
Please answer if interested in these tours for Berlin/andor St. Pete.
Thank you very much
Evelyn

Welcome to the family Evelyn

Ideally we do not suggest that members here post their private contact details in public as it is a security issue that we try to avoid. However, should anyone wish to get in touch, then we have a private message facility that is the safer option
