Originally built as a trans-Atlantic liner for Cunard Line, this ship was acquired by Sitmar in 1968 and completely rebuilt - a dramatic change to her exterior appearance. Taken over by Princess Cruises in 1988 she sailed for that company until 1993 when she was purchased by Monaco-based V-Ships, which has chartered her to Phoenix Reisen since then.
