For Discovery to be out of AIS tranmission this long, there has got to have been some sort of electrical and/or equipment failure. There is no sign of her anywhere across the Baltic region. If she is still not transmitting when she enters her next port of call, she could be in trouble.
It is a pity that there is not an email address available for her...although there is a real chance that due to the engine problem, some of her 'added extras' such as her computer suite have been shut down to conserve electrical supply.
Worst case scenario would be that she is impounded with the AIS failure and her passengers flown home from wherever she happens to be. That would be expensive for VoD and I suspect would not be covered by their public liability insurance.
She will have been out of AIS for 24 hours in a little over 4 hours from now.
