Hi
Well it was expected that nothing was being said by the Chairman and Directors about the problems with the engines on mv Discovery.
They appear to have kept quiet in all the UK news, and also on the websites, for about six months even though they must known about the problems with the ships engines !
I wonder what would happen if one of those engines that are working went bang in the Kiel Canal !
Re her recent AIS transmissions I have noticed there seems to be quite a big gap on some of the AIS maps once you leave the Rostock area until you get up to near Helsinki and Tallin in the Baltic sea.
I am wondering if she is turned off or if there is a shortage of shore stations or satalites, which ever is used, picking up her transmissions and sending out the information on her position.
We really need a technician on AIS for an answer.
I wonder how her passengers will fare at St Petersburg after the problems with the Australian cruise ship which was held up at a Russian port !
