I love sea days but not sure 2 days at sea would be much fun on a damaged ship, Swan 
As Norman already said, the engine has lots of ancilliary duties apart from making the ship move forwards and backwards. Speculation is not a good thing but that engine being down could be causing many other problems on board that we don't know about...other electrical failures (apart from the AIS)...the possibilities are endless really.
