A number of guests on board were previous staff coming to say goodbye. Also current staff had their families on-board, courtesy of Cunard.
We met one staff member who has worked on the QE2 since 1971. When QE2 goes to Dubai he loses his job and home. Very sad.
Also all the staff on QE2 do not have jobs waiting for them on other Cunard ships. So they are all having to look elsewhere. However no one is prepared to leave until their final day. The crew all love her. How many other cruise ships can say that.
