Thumbs up Celebrity Dress Code

I have heard thru many of the forums that X is changing its dress code after August 8.
Personally, I think it is about time. Formal nights are out of sinc with the changing times. Due to the fact that airlines are now surcharging for baggage, and the TA I'll be going on is 15 nights, and I'll be staying over in Italy for a couple of weeks, baggage becomes a problem.
I would suggest that X go to "Smart Casual." Men would wear slacks, (no denim or kakki,) sport shirt (tucked in) no T's, sport jacket. Shoes and socks, no sneakers or sandals. Women would wear skirts, slacks, blouses, no denim or kakki (is that how u spell it?)
This should make for a great cruise. You would wear the same thing you would wear to a good restaurant (not a problem???)
It would make things a lot simpler and easy.
If however, X doesn't change its policy, I'll just have to grin and bear it or go on another step-up cruise line like Princess, Cunard or Regent.
Crystal is really great, ONCE!!! too stuffy.
Ciao, Alberto
