The Legend is a new ship in 2002. There are 16 designated accessible staterooms in a variety of sizes and categories. The numbers are; 6101, 6102, 7101, 7102, 4202, 4203, 4205, 4207, 5238, 5245, 6234, 6281, 7260, 7303, 8234 and 8239. The cabin door is 35" wide with no sill and the bathroom door is 32" wide with no sill. The balcony doorway is 33" with a 7" ramped threshold. The bathroom is 4'x7' with roll in showers, grab bars, hand held shower head and shower seat that is 13"x17" with a 400 lb weight limit. The toilets are 18" and have grab bars.
There are accessible public restrooms located on deck 2 forward and deck 3 midship inside La Playa grill. The only areas of the ship that are not accessible are the dance club, childrens wading pool, whirlpools, laundry room and deck 11. They have TTY kits available for hearing impaired guests and include door knocker, bed shaker, smoke alarm and phone amplifier. They have a state of the art infared system available for the shows and headsets are available at the pursors desk.

The Fantasy has 20 accessible staterooms, ten inside and ten outside, all on the Empress Deck. The numbers of the inside rooms are; E52, E53, E56, E57, E81, E81, E116, E119, E120 and E123. The numbers of the outside rooms are; E64, E65, E66, E67, E68, E69, E70, E71, E72 and E73. The average size of the staterooms are 85 square feet. The doors are 30" wide with no sill. The bathroom doors are 31" wide with 3.5" sills (ramp available from steward). The bathrooms have roll-in showers, hand held showers, seats available upon request and grab bars. The toilets are 16" high with grab bars and the sinks are 32" high. There is only 30” between the bathroom and hallway. There is not enough room in the bathroom to do a 360 degree turn in a wheelchair. A 3 in 1 chair is available.
The following public areas are not accessible: the Funnel Deck; the Observation area; the children's pool and Laundromats.
Carnival has alert kits for guests with hearing impairments which can be fitted to any cabin. These kits include visual notification of the door knocker and smoke alarm and there is a vibrating alarm and phone amplifier. Please notify in advance if this equipment is needed. Service dogs are permitted with the required documentation but may not be allowed to disembark at all ports.
